The CNOR credential acknowledges your professional achievement and demonstrates your specialized knowledge and skills in perioperative nursing. CNOR recertification is your pathway to further your knowledge, to continue validating your practice and to help advance the field perioperative nursing.
Deadlines
The CNOR credential is conferred for a period of five years, and all eligible candidates must recertify by July 1st of the year their credential expires. Learn more details.

Recertification Methods
You may choose one of four methods to recertify your credential:
Each of these four methods takes approximately the same amount of time to complete. In addition, each method requires you to commit the time to further your knowledge and to stay current with perioperative practice standards. The key to success is to review the requirements for each method, select the method that works best for you, and plan accordingly.
