CCI's email platform enables entities engaged in the perioperative community to connect with CCI certificants for various commercial purposes, including promoting products, educational or professional programs, and employment opportunities within the perioperative nursing field. Prior to seeking approval for utilizing this service, please read through the information below.
This service may not be used for any other purpose.
To be eligible to utilize our services, please ensure that your Mass Email Application complies with the following criteria:
- The application must be comprehensive and accurate.
- The applicant must represent an organization actively engaged in the perioperative nursing community or relevant to its members.
- Individual persons are not eligible applicants and will face rejection.
- If an individual operates as a business entity (e.g., DBA, sole proprietorship), the application must be submitted under the business name; otherwise, it will be denied.
- Mass email content must be pertinent to perioperative nursing, aligned with the chosen content type and audience, readable (grammatically correct and easy to understand), and free of derogatory, inflammatory, or unethical content in accordance with the CCI ethics policy.
- Mass email content may not solicit surveys outside of perioperative nursing research studies, and study needs will be reviewed for relevance to our community.
- Proper approval and marking (e.g., CNOR®) are required for the use of CCI trademarks in any content.
- Any mention of CCI documents or images must be appropriately titled and referenced, with prior CCI approval for use.
- The mass email mock-up must precisely match the desired appearance when sent, including HTML code, formatting (e.g., bold, italics, text alignment, colors, tables), and individual access to each element.
- Text must be in at least 8-point font, hyperlinks must be functional and clickable, and the applicant must have copyright permissions for embedded images.
- Attachments and embedded videos are not permitted.
- Interactive elements or screenshots of interactive elements are prohibited.
- The email address of the organization responsible for the mass email must be included.
Additional Requirements:
- Follow-Up Campaigns will replicate the original email, and content cannot be altered. No refunds will be provided for canceled Follow-Up Campaigns.
- The applicant must respond promptly to communications from CCI staff.
- Only one open application is allowed at a time, considered open until final approval and scheduling for delivery.
- Additional applications submitted before delivery will be ineligible and denied.
- Two campaigns may not deliver within 14 days of each other, including follow-up campaigns from separate applications.
- CCI will not undertake actions beyond Mass Email Application requirements and processes upon applicant request, such as signing contracts, completing documentation, providing internal organization information, or enrolling in specific software or programs. Such requests will be denied.
Please note that the fees for use of the Mass Email Service is specific to your email’s target audience. An invoice will be provided once your email application is approved.

Prepare for submission:
- Ensure your application is complete and adheres to all requirements.
- Submit your application.
- Aim to submit at least 14 business days before the desired send date.
Application review by CCI:
- Within three business days, you'll receive approval or denial.
- Approved: Receive a notice and a test email for review.
- Denied: Reapply, following FAQs for guidance.
- If approved, submit payment via the link in the approval notice.
Test email creation and review:
- Within five business days of approval, CCI creates a draft email.
- Review the test email within ten business days.
- Provide feedback if necessary.
Final steps:
- Once satisfied, inform CCI for final approval.
- Mass email is delivered on the requested date or within one business day (no guarantees).
- Follow-Up Campaign(s) delivered as requested; no content changes, no refunds.

Q: Can anyone use CCI's mass email service?
A: No, only organizations within the perioperative nursing community or relevant to it's members can use the CCI mass email service and CCI reviews each application submission to ensure they meet the requirements.
Q: Can I submit multiple applications for different times throughout the year?
A: Unfortunately, no. As mentioned in the Requirements for Mass Email Application section, there can be only one open application at a time.
Q: What if my application gets denied?
A: Denied applications are closed and cannot be reopened, but you can submit another one. Before reapplying, revisit the Application Requirements section to prevent another denial.
Q: Why might an application get denied?
A: Various reasons, like failure to meet requirements, not responding in a timely manner, or requesting to send content that does not apply to our community. CCI reserves the right to deny for any reason.
Q: Can I make changes to a submitted application?
A: You can request changes within 2 business days of the approval notice. Note that this may extend review times or lead to a denial. Changes requested beyond 2 business days will result in a denial without refund.
Q: Can mistakes in a delivered mass email be corrected?
A: Unfortunately, no. Ensure your mock-up is as you want it, including all formatting. The Applicant is solely responsible for design, content, and quality.
Q: What if my HTML-submitted mass email has errors?
A: CCI doesn't provide HTML or CSS support. You must provide updates to the code within the specified time frame, with other languages like JavaScript scrubbed for security reasons.
