Vote in the Board Elections

The Governance Committee of the CCI Board of Directors presents the following candidates for the one open RN-Board position: Pamela Gorgone, Tabitha Stewart, and James Stobinski. The candidate elected will replace Eric Murdock, RN, MSN, CNOR, whose term expires in 2008.

Reflecting the value CCI places on the voice of health care consumers, one seat on the Board of Directors is reserved for a non-nurse member. This is a full voting member of the Board, whose role is to articulate the perspective of health care consumers. This person serves a three-year term. The Board is recommending one candidate for this position, Drew Sones, BA. You may either approve this recommendation or write in an alternative candidate for this position. This is separate from your vote for the nurse director candidate.

“We selected these candidates because they have extensive professional experience and have been dedicated members of the perioperative nursing community,” said Nancy Lilliott, RN, MSN, CNOR, CRNFA, APRN-BC, Governance Committee chair. “These are essential qualities of any elected member of the Board.”

Voting allows you to stay active in your chosen profession and set the course for the future of certification. Voting is quick and easy and ensures that your voice is heard. This opportunity should not be taken lightly — have pride in your certification and use your privilege to vote!

The voting period begins on October 1, 2007, and is available until midnight November 14, 2007. If you don’t have access to the internet, please contact CCI at (888) 257- 2667 to request a paper ballot. Paper ballots must be postmarked by November 1. Voting is confidential and handled by an independent auditor. You may vote only once; to be eligible to vote, you must have been certified by August 16, 2007.
