Nursing 2006 - 7th Annual Salary Review

Nursing 2006 published the results of its 7th annual salary survey in the October 2006 issue. The results indicate that nurses certified in their specialty made $9,200 more than their uncertified colleagues. The article looks at many other factors that influence salary such as reimbursement for tuition and education, bonuses, years of experience, location of hospital, salary by unit, and the impact of Magnet status. This is the first year the survey has considered Magnet status as a factor in salary.
