CCI & AORN Award Eight Nursing Education Scholarships |
DENVER, CO (Sept. 27, 2006) CCI’s annual donation to the AORN Foundation resulted in AORN’s Scholarship Committee awarding eight scholarships earlier this month to provide education and leadership opportunities for perioperative nurses.
The recipients of the Competency & Credentialing Institute Nursing Education Scholarship are:
Wendy C. Adcock, RN, CNOR BSN Candidate
Judy M. Benson, RN, CNOR BSN Candidate
Kathy G. Cornforth, RN, CNOR BSN Candidate
Peggy Wiggins, RN, CNOR BSN Candidate
Donna A. Ford, RN, BSN, CNOR Master’s Candidate
Evelyn M. Fraser, RN, CNOR Master’s Candidate
Judith L Goldberg, RN, BSN, CNOR Master’s Candidate
James X Stobinski, RN, MSN, CNOR Ph.D. Candidate
“We are proud and excited to be able to sponsor these scholarships as part of our organization’s dedication to continued education and training,” said Laura S. Kerby, RN, BSN, CNOR. “We wish all the recipients luck in their educational endeavors and encourage them to stay involved in the credentialing community.”
The Committee also awarded Janean E. Monahan, RN, CNOR the Competency & Credentialing Institute Endowed Education Scholarship.
Since 2000 CCI has donated $96,000 to the AORN Foundation educational scholarship fund, resulting in the awarding of educational scholarships to 60 individuals.
