Thank you for your interest in the Perioperative Educator Certificate Program. CCI is excited about adding this tool to its current educational offerings.
This program will be made up of 7 modules, based on the following domains identified during a task force which met in Sept. 2008. They will include:
- Leadership and Organizational Behavior
- Teaching-Learning Principles
- Instructional Design
- Evaluation and Outcomes
- Staff Development
- Facilitation and Collaboration
- Creating a Culture of Evidence-Based Practice
The books will be available as a set, or may be purchased individually. They will also be available on-line. As a certificate program, there will not be a need to re-certify. There is no academic credit associated with this program, but you will be able to receive CE’s after successful completion of the modules.
There are several ways you can participate in the development of the Perioperative Educator Certificate Program:

The results from the survey will be used to develop the modules. Your input as an educator is vital in assuring that we have the most accurate, current information available on which to base our content.
