CCI Certificate Program for Surgical Services Management

Earlier this year, CCI launched its first certificate program focused on surgical services management. The valuable information included in the individual learning modules of the program can also be purchased individually. The six modules are:

One CNOR – One Vote
Vote by midnight on November 1, 2007.

Voting for new leaders allows you to stay active in your chosen profession and set the course for the future of certification and CCI. Voting is quick and easy and ensures that your voice is heard.

The Governance Committee of the CCI Board of Directors presents the following candidates for the one, open RN-Board position: Pamela Gorgone, Tabitha Stewart, and James Stobinski. You may vote for one of the three candidates for the nurse position as well as approve the Governance Committee’s recommendation for a new public member.

“We selected these candidates because they have extensive professional experience and have been dedicated members of the perioperative nursing community,” said Nancy Lilliott, RN, MSN, CNOR, CRNFA, APRN-BC, Governance Committee chair. “These are essential qualities of any elected member of the Board.”

The candidates’ background information and statements regarding CCI’s key issues are available in the fall 2007 issue of CCI News.  Please review them before voting to help you make an informed decision. You may also email the candidates to ask them any questions regarding their statements.

The online voting system, available online at www.cc-institute.org, opened on October 1 and will be available until midnight November 1, 2007. If you don’t have access to the Internet, please contact CCI at (888) 257-2667 to request a paper ballot. Paper ballots must be postmarked by November 1.  Voting is confidential and handled by an independent auditor. You may vote only once; to be eligible to vote, you must have been certified by August 16, 2007.

This opportunity should not be taken lightly — have pride in your certification and use your privilege to vote!

CCI Tests Candidates at AORN World Congress

CCI thanks the more than 140 candidates who registered and took the CNOR examination in Seoul, South Korea, during the AORN World Conference, September 29th. This was CCI’s first test administration in Korea and the largest paper and pencil administration of the CNOR exam since we switched to computer-based delivery more than 10 years ago.  Click here to view pictures of this important event.
