Human resource management is critically important to any surgical services or operating room manager. Today’s manager must manage all aspects of a variety of resources. It can be argued that the most critical resource is the “human resource.” This module touches on many aspects of human resource management. Mastering the skills discussed in this module will assist a manager to manage those resources successfully. Of particular interest today is recruitment and retention.
