To take part in the Surgical Services Management program, and earn your certificate, follow these steps.

- Take the pre-assesment exam. More Information. Link to test site.
- Read the modules.
- Take the post-assessment exam. More Information. Link to test site.
- Optional: Submit registration and evaluation documents. More Information.
Order the modules
You can order the complete set of modules from our online store. When we send you the modules, we will include a login name and password for the exam site.
We also have a group discount of 10%, for customers ordering 5 or more sets of modules. For more information on the discount, see our discount information form.
(If you do not want to take part in the nursing certification program, but wish to purchase individual modules, you can do so here. Remember, to take part in the certification program, you must purchase the entire set of modules.)
The Pre-Assessment Exam
When you receive the modules, you will also get a password for the Pre-Assessment Exam, which you will access at at ibt.prometric.com/cci.
Taking the exam:
- Login to the testing site. If it is your first time there, click the First time registration link.
- When you are asked to Select a test provider or program, choose the "Management Certificate" option.
- When you come to the "Select a test sponsor" page, go to the center box, labeled "Private Tests," and put in the test code that you were mailed with the module.
- Take the test!
The test has 90 questions, separated into the six domains covered in the modules. You may only take the Pre-Assessment Exam once. Upon completing the exam you will receive the results that will outline the domains/modules they should focus on most before you take the post-test and complete the program.
The Post-Assessment Exam
When you are ready to take the post-assessment exam, return to ibt.prometric.com/cci, login and use the code you were given to access the post-assessment exam.
Registration and Evaluation Information
To receive contact hours you must complete the registration and evaluation forms for each of the books and submit them, by May 1, 2011, to CCI at certificate@cc-institute.org.
One registration form is all that is needed for all 6 modules, then you will need to complete an Evaluation Form for each of the modules you want contact hours for.

- Communication & Relationship Management: 1.5 hours
- Financial Management: 1.4 hours
- Surgical Services Management: 1.6 hours
- Human Resource Management: 1.9 hours
Upon passing the exam and submisson of all of the preceding forms, you will receive a Certificate of Mastery that has a statement of accreditation awarding you contact hours.
