Certificate Program Overview

Program Highlights
After completing a large-scale, national survey of surgical service managers, CCI developed a certificate program open to all nurses and non-nurses including, but not limited to, OR Nurse Manager/Coordinator/Director, PACU Nurse, Pre-Op Nurse, Endoscopy Nurse or Technician, Ambulatory Nurse, Staff Development/OR Educator, Supervisor, Charge Nurse and OR Business Managers.

The content of the program is focused in six general areas identified from the evidence gathered in the national survey. These areas are:

1. Professionalism
2. Leadership
3. Communication and Relationship Management
4. Financial Management
5. Surgical Services
6. Human Resource Management

The program fulfills a number of professional goals. Primarily, it enhances your knowledge and ability to function in a management role. It also provides an avenue for employers to reward employees that are dedicated to continued learning and professional development and the modules build your professional library.

Program Structure & Requirements
Each candidate will complete an online pre-assessment exam. The results of this exam will outline the domains/modules they should focus on most before they take the post-test and complete the program.

There are six, self-paced modules that can be completed following the candidate’s own schedule. Following the completion of all six modules, the candidate will take an online post-assessment test. To receive the certificate, the candidate must achieve a 70% passing score and complete the program within one year of purchase.

Purchase the Program
The program is available now. The cost is $199 (plus $15 shipping and handling). If you are not interested in the certificate program, but would like to learn more in any specific area, modules can also be purchased individually for $50 per module. Please note: the pre and post-assessment exams are only available when the full program is purchased.
