Competency Modules

CCI's Competency Assessment Module series is based on the most current information in the operating-room nursing practice. We have designed these nine modules for all healthcare professionals caring for surgical patients. In addition, staff development coordinators can use the series for new employee orientation and in-service presentations to assess employee competence.

Our Competency Assessment Module series is also designed for staff development professionals to assess the competency of nurses, surgical technicians, and others in the surgical setting. The series includes a complete checklist of behaviors for evaluating professionals as they perform a variety of skills and competencies. Checklists can be copied and included in personnel files.

  • Age-Specific Care
  • Aseptic Technique
  • Care of the Bariatric Patient
  • Cultural Competency

  • Our goal is to enable healthcare professionals to better deliver extraordinary patient care and to improve patient safety in the workplace. For hospitals, bulk sale discounts and intranet loading for competency assessment modules make ongoing education economically feasible for many of your facility's staff members.
