Consulting for Hospitals |
Our goal is to support the delivery of extraordinary patient care. You can leverage our consulting services to develop competency-based assessment programs.
Staff Development
CCI can assist in new employee assessment and observing and recording the competencies of operating room nurses and surgical technologists. Whether through the development of customized tools or through the bulk purchase of existing CCI products and services, CCI can help staff development professionals meet their professional responsibilities.
Our Competency Assessment Module series is designed for staff development professionals to assess the competency of nurses, surgical technologists, and others in the surgical setting. The series includes a complete checklist of behaviors for evaluating professionals as they perform a variety of skills and competencies. Checklists can be copied and included in personnel files. For a complete list of Competency Assessment Modules, or to learn how to obtain a intranet license and place the content on your hospital intranet, contact Mary O'Neale, Director of Credentialing & Education, at moneale@cc-institute.org.
Certification applications are available through our website. For information concerning group testing discounts for groups of five or more exam applicants (applications must be submitted together), please contact CCI at info@cc-insitute.org.
CCI also has developed an online exam that can be used to assess the knowledge and skills of nurses entering the surgical setting. Used to prepare for the CNOR certification exam, the e-practice test is derived from a comprehensive, research-based blueprint covering the knowledge and skills necessary to work in pre-, intra-, and post-operative care. You can view some sample questions on our site. To adapt tests for use in new employee assessment, contact Mary O’Neale, RN, MN, CNOR, Director of Credentialing & Education, at moneale@cc-institute.org
Educational Content Review
Many institutions have programs in place that orient and educate surgical professionals in providing quality patient care. For expert review of those programs or to build an assessment component related to that education, contact Mary O’Neale, RN, MN, CNOR, Director of Credentialing & Education, at moneale@cc-institute.org.
