CNOR Emeritus Status

Description

CCI offers CNORs who are retiring from professional nursing the option to keep their credential active through the CNOR Emeritus status, or CNOR(E).  CCI established the Emeritus Status in 1995 to recognize retired operating-room nurses’ service and commitment to the perioperative profession, as well as their achievement and maintenance of the CNOR credential.

Fee

The one-time fee for Emeritus Status is $95 for all CNORs (both AORN members and non-AORN members).  The Emeritus credential does not expire or need to be renewed.

Once your application and fee have been processed, your Emeritus Status certificate will be mailed to you within four to six weeks.

Policy Change

You must currently hold the CNOR credential in good standing to apply for the CNOR Emeritus status.  The CNOR emeritus credential is not available if your CNOR credential has lapsed.
