Learn about Reactivation Methods
The CNOR is conferred for a period of five years. Eligible candidates for reactivation of their CNOR credential may choose one of two available methods:
- Exam – retake the CNOR exam.
- Portfolio – select four out of 12 evidence-based activities that best reflect your current perioperative practice. A professional resume, a reflective learning form, and “proof” of competence for each chosen activity as outlined in the instructional packet must be provided.
Both these methods require you to commit time to further your knowledge and to stay current with the latest perioperative practice standards. Please note, each method will take you approximately the same amount of time to complete. Select your method and plan accordingly to make sure you have met all requirements prior to submitting your application.
