Recertification by Points

A minimum of 300 points is required for recertification by the points method.

Recertification by points recognizes that learning and competency maintenance can be accomplished in a variety of ways, including through successful participation in various professional activities.

You can acquire points for CNOR recertification through any of the methods listed under Eligible Activities. All points must have been earned during the current recertification cycle (January 1, of the year you certifed or recertified, through June 30, of the year you are due to recertify).

Recertification by Points is available in 2008 and 2009.  Beginning in 2010 recertification by the points method will no longer be available.  The Professional Portfolio will replace the points method.  Both options are currently available for recertification.
