This competency module presents current sterilization techniques used in today’s healthcare environment. Surgical nurses practice in a variety of settings, including traditional operating rooms, endoscopy suites, ambulatory surgery units, physicians’ offices, cardiac catheterization units, radiology departments, and other areas where operative or other invasive procedures are performed.
